Into the forest

Trekking in Dak Lak

Around Lak Lake the land rises into forested mountains. Our signature trek climbs Chu Yang Lak, the mountain behind the lake, with a night on the mountain. We also walk the dry forest of Yok Don, the grassland of Pal Sol and the villages around Lak Lake. Every trek is private, led by an English-speaking guide with a local team, and we arrange permits, camping gear and meals.

When to Trek

The dry season, from about November to April. From May to October trails are slippery, leeches are common and the mountains are often in cloud.
