Quiet riverbank with green trees in Dak Lak

Buon Ma Thuot to Buon Don Cycling and Homestay

Two days by bike to the Serepok River, a night with a village family and a ride home through the coffee country of Cu M'gar.

On day one you ride north-west from Buon Ma Thuot to Buon Don, a district of rivers, forest and old villages near Yok Don National Park, and spend the night with a local family. On day two the route turns east through Cu M'gar, where Ede villages sit between coffee and pepper gardens, and loops back to the city.

Buon Don feels far from the city. You cross the Serepok on bamboo suspension bridges, walk among stilt houses and hear about the history of the area from your hosts. For many guests, the homestay night and the home-cooked dinner are the part they remember most.
